Introducing Green Bay Chiropractor, Dr. Krystal Davis

All through childhood, Dr. Krystal Davis thought her destiny was to grow up and become a veterinarian. Throughout high school she kept looking into what she needed to do to get into veterinary school. As college came closer she began to second guess what she had always known was meant to be. While watching vet shows on television, the surgeries and medication on the animals she loved just seemed to be too much. Dr. Krystal began exploring what else she could use her knowledge for. She began her college education still with the intention of becoming a vet even though she knew in her heart it wasn’t right. After some investigation and conversations with her family, chiropractic seemed to be the obvious choice. It didn’t involve surgery, and it was a natural form of health care. She also saw the results of chiropractic by how it had helped her immediate family and became a total believer in healing power. It was all history after that.

Her pre-chiropractic education began at the University of Wisconsin- River Falls. After four years of studies, Dr. Krystal received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with a biomedical sciences emphasis and a minor in chemistry. After completing her degree at UW-RF she continued her education at Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri. While at Logan, she completed coursework in basic science classes such as Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, and Pathology, as well as many others in her first year. After this, she moved into coursework that included Physical Diagnosis, X-Ray, Adjusting Techniques, as well as Patient and Office Management. Her last year at school focused mainly on patient care in one of the outpatient clinics. While there she worked as a clinician’s assistant taking all of the clinic’s x-rays and managing 52 other student interns. Dr. Krystal graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic in 2009. She moved back to her home in the Green Bay area to be close to family and friends and immediately started working for an office learning the ins and outs of the office side of chiropractic. After months of learning, she decided to get back to what she loved… adjusting and making sick patients well. This lead her to Massart Chiropractic and the everything else just fell into place.

Outside of the office Dr. Krystal enjoys spending time with her family at their homes and businesses. She lives in Appleton, WI with her husband Rob, their son Bobby, Robs two children Isabella and Layla, and two dogs, Miniature Pinschers named Duchess and Spike. She loves to run and swim and participate in just about anything outside that is active, especially when the sun is shining.

Dr. Massart Asks some important questions of interest to Green Bay residents - Chiropractor Green Bay Dr. Massart Asks...

What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
What's your plan to deal with drug-resistant 'super germs'?
Chiropractors have always been concerned with the indiscriminate use of antibiotics, accelerating the mutation of microbes that make "wonder" drugs increasingly ineffective. My strategy? Do everything possible to bolster my immune system through proper diet, rest, exercise, clean air, pure water and an optimally functioning nervous system with regular chiropractic care.
